After fifteen albums and two decades on the music scene, Aswad remains one of Britain’s best loved reggae bands.

Noted for adding strong R&B and soul influences to the reggae sound, they have been performing since the mid-1970s

Having released a total of 21 albums. Their UK hit singles include the number one "Don't Turn Around" (1988) and "Shine" (1994).

Originally led by the trio of Brinsley, Angus and Tony, Aswad is renowned among reggae fans for their rich melodies and compelling harmonies, woven over hard rhythm tracks and inspired horn riffs.

They are three-time Grammy Award nominees. with 9 top 40 hits & after more than 25 years, Aswad are still the purveyors of the UK reggae scene and regularly perform at festivals both in the UK and around the world.
